The genre in television programming has significantly changed since the time television was invented. This is an obvious fact. Still, the concept of bringing televisions shows to reality through the introduction of reality-based programs has broken the classic notion of predictable TV, and the offering of unedited, real-time TV programs brings the level of entertainment into higher toes.

Reality shows are watched by thousands of viewers because of the excitement and a plethora of surprises that awaits them since behavior of characters are mostly unexpected and the twist and turns of events are not so predictable unlike in the regular television series that we used to watch. But, since viewers are given this medium, their perspectives of an outcome for the show becomes predictable, and eventually they have already thought how a show will end even if those programs are not even finished yet. This is a challenge to entertainment conceptualizers on how to strategize and formulate reality-based programs that will offer a new flavor and excitement for their target market. Also, it is important to consider culture-sensitive contents in order not to offend one’s religion and social standards, or even face legal sanctions on the part of the censors.

Whatever the developments may be, reality shows will continue to thrive as people like real-time action and as the cliché goes that one’s life is unique, so as every show that characters in reality programs portray.

We experience boredom nowadays. Maybe because of so much work that we have done; or too much pressure from the things that surrounds us, or just simply we are bored. Thus, we look for things and ways where we can counter it and make our lives enjoyable and worth living. But why go out and spend a too much treating yourself, if you can have them at the comfort of your home in front of your PC.

There is a vast number of funny materials circulating in the Internet. A search in mighty Google or or Yahoo or Bing will land you to websites designed to provide fun and humor to your surfing experience. The invention of the Web gave us a variety of World Wide Web resources where we can enjoy and relax through just surfing the cyberspace. And the funny stuffs are limitless, they seem to be increasing in numbers, and when you start enjoying them, you’ll also notice you don’t have all the time seeing them all.

First are funny songs. These funny songs are oftentimes melodies that bring laughter through the lyrics or its interpretation, or the tune is so cool that we feel like dancing whenever we heard of it. Even songs written in foreign language seemed to be more acceptable and appreciated than before because of the wide circulation the Internet offers to songwriters.

How about TV ads? These ads used to be kept off by TV viewers. But not all advertisements are waste of time. There are those commercials, even though we don’t like the product or service being advertised, we still liked them since they have captured our attention. Most of these funny commercials are very popular in the World Wide Web and they themselves alone are enough to market that particular service or product. Some of them are even banned to be shown in TV, but we’re fortunate we have the Internet, and censors cannot do much to prevent us from seeing them.

This age is also the age of reality shows, and reality shows mix humor and actual wit to bring about true to life shows, not those made by actors and actresses. Funny pranks are popular and every one, regardless of who they are, are becoming entertainers in their own merit when they appear in their own shows doing funny pranks to other people.

Consider this, there are a huge amount of funny resources and entertaining media in the World Wide Web. Nothing to spend. A search and click will do, and that’s when entertainment begins.

We consider our pets as members of the family. They give us joy and unconditional love that only animals can give. They’re forgiving, loyal, and always around. We walk them to the park, bring them to pet grooming shops for their grooming needs. Buy them pet accessories and even dressed them like humans. .Some kids even bathe with their pets together. We sometimes feed them the same food we eat. Others join animal shows just to showcase the talents and beauty of their pets. Needless to say, many of us consider them as an integral part of our family.

The most common pets are cats and dogs. While spiders, lizards, squirrels, snakes and other exotic pets also had their share of owners. Companionship, more than anything else are the reason many people keep them. These animals make their way into our house because of the happiness they bring us. They ruin the sofas, there’s litter everywhere, they smell, their noisy but who cares, they bring joy to the family and that’s more important than all their mischiefs.

They’re such bundle of joys always willing to cheer us up. That’s why it is common to see pets in every home. The moments we shared with them are usually among the most precious we will ever make. Others avail of professional photographers just to make pet portraits of their most loyal pets and display it with family’s memorabilia. 10 Article Writing Guide for Newbies

This piece on the 10 (no, 11… yes, 11) tips for aspiring writers is not written from the catbird seat point of view of the article publisher or database manager. Rather it is by and from the view of an author who remembers the early misgivings. It is written particularly for the beginning article writer. I have written and submitted hundreds of compositions for publication to a horde of article directories and database managers and still finds article writing my enemy.

1. Necessity vs Desire:
Writings and Web blogs are necessary in present day scheme of indexing by search engines. Not what the newbie wants to hear. Just remember what the Bible states, “there has nothing over taken you that is not common to man”. That’s right! Many of us detest article and blogging at times, and some of us dread the journey to pen and paper (or keyboard as the case may be) all the time. Many a webmaster would call them “a unavoidable evil” as they are not mostly anyone’s best wished house keeping tasks.

2. Just Being Writing, It Gets Lighter:
First it is sometimes tough to get a subject or theme and to get the first couple of lines scribbled down. We know authors who literally get sick thinking about the process. Lighten up. There are a lot to write about, name it: alternative medicine, cancer diseases, true religion, life insurance, playing online poker, cheap insurance. Others may think of even more unusual topics such as penis enlargement and cheap viagra. Once an writer has a starting point and gets passed the first thoughts, blogging and article usually works pretty smooth.

The important thing is that you get started. Choose a theme you know something about and just start. You will be enjoyably amazed at just how easily ideas flow. Don’t think everybody knows what you know. They do not. Will Rogers once said, “all men are ignorant, just on different subjects”. And, so it is!

3. Good vs Perfection:
Your old English teacher is not looking over your shoulder. Your composition need not to be perfect. That is not to say it does not have to be on point or to say that it does not have to be correct. At least it does or it should be. But, our goal is not perfection and is, in fact, seldom possible. Too much detail and you run the risk of losing your reader on several levels. Too long and
most readers simply don’t have the time or interest to browse the whole material irrespective of how important it is.

4. Length of Blog vs Article Length:
Most publishers require a minimum of six hundred (600) words per article - some will let you slide with four hundred (400) words. Blogs can have a shorter content. Blogs can and maybe should support appropriate images and embedded links.

Don’t over do it though. Too gaudy or too slow to load and you have wasted your time, ticked off a potential reader, and probably upset a server who can ban you from their publications. writings, then again, typically cannot carry these extra touches concurring to the requirements of most publishers.

5. Format:
Save your article in ASCII format. There are a lot of software that does this thing. A search for ‘free ASCII editor’ or for ‘free plain text editors’ will give you a lot of options. WordPress is a popular pick. If all else fails Notepad is enough for you to use.

6. Spelling and Grammar:
Once you have your article or blog run it through a good spell checker and a good grammar checker. Microsoft Word works well for these purposes. Just don’t use the MS Word copy for publishing of your article. Rather use its suggestions to make any unavoidable rectifications to your copy in plain text. The MS Word copy will work for blogs although other editors are favored.

Like the good old days when you were encouraged by teachers, you will find article and blog writing skills become better with time and practice.

7. Publish and Announce:
Once your blog is ready you may want to use some automatic tools to publish and announce it. First do a search for Blog hosts and select those suited to your needs. Join one or more and publish your blog there. Then search for blog announcers and RSS announcers and utilize them to get your blog known.

Now that you have that out of the way find an article wizard that will post your compositions to free publishers. You can post them one at a time by hand if you are really bored and have absolutely nothing else in life to do. Using an automatic poster you can publish to hundreds of servers in an hour or so. The only way to go.

8. Forbearance:
Now, have some patience. Here is where you lose control. Many of the men and women who host writings are timely and your writings will be reviewed in a span of 24 to 48 hours. But, many others will be days and weeks down the road therefore never date an article - a sure way to get rejected.

9. Rejection - “sorry your article has been declined”:
Be prepared for most directories to reject your compositions. Do not be personal about this. It usually has little to do with you or your article.

Some databases routinely reject articles for spelling errors when there are none or where there is more than way to spell a word. And, just as in any other endeavor some hosts are simply too slow-moving and get so far behind, the easiest and fastest thing to do (and perhaps the only alternative) is to reject the whole article. You will learn who these are over time.

There are also people who review your writings through the sausage grinder and if they find certain words, regardless of how they are used, your article gets no farther. These are the people who can’t publish the Bile because of the words it contains that may offend readers. Don’t worry about these folks who are so heavenly minded they are of no earthly use.

Remember, just as in everything else in life, for every rule there is an exception.

10. Keep the faithBelieve, and keep cranking out writings:
Since most writers, especially starters, prepare only one copy of an article against the advice of most seasoned authors it is important that the newbie keep his chin up - keep the faith. That will be easier as more and more of your writings are accepted and published driving visitors to your website while creating those all essential links to your sites.

It is not necessary that every host to accept everything submitted to them. After one or two servers publish your article on any given subject, the search engines tend to penalize additional postings of the same article. This is close to spamming and while it could help someone find you, it probably won’t. It is not necessarily, the more the merrier. The additional listings will not step-up your page rankings or links reported by the search engines. It is more significant to get published by hosts with the highest Google page rank possible.

Now, one Incentive TIP for you: Together with “the rejection slip” will usually come a suggestion on how to “fix” your article and a asking that you resubmit it. Don’t blow your time. While trying comply with one database manager’s request you could have written a new article from which you get much more punch. I say, if you like to stop working, STOP WORKING; The following are the five reasons why you should.

1. If you stop working you’ll have more time to devote to reading my articles, columns, and lists. This will enable me to become a trademark name down at the Unemployment and Welfare offices. My fame is a small price to pay for you living your dreams. You’ll think of this when you see me on TV shows today.

2. There’s a great feeling in quitting your job. You’ll be in cloud nine in 10 minutes, you’ll be on top of the world, you’ll have a good life, you’ll be: -insert your own line of though here-. Then the worries start about the mortgage, school tuition, groceries, and and how you’re going to pay the amount you owe to other companies. All this will bring depression up to the extent of attempting suicide, but at least you had 10 minutes of freedom.

3. Daytime television is considered the most exciting and captivating television around. You’ll wonder how come you get to survive without all those documentaries, quality soap operas, judge shows, talk shows, and judge shows where you suspect that the judge has beed paid. Combine this with all the educational TV ads that air during the daytime that will ”Get a degree from home’, ‘Make $1,000 a day answering emails’,'Learn the Internet in 2 hours’ in such exciting fields as GED preparation and septic tank scrubber’ and you’ll not just think why you didn’t leave your job sooner, you promise you won’t get back to work again.

4. In your previous job you missed all those important calls from collection agencies and other bill collectors. Now that you have quit your job you’ll be able to sit at home in eager anticipation of these oh-so-important calls. Toss in a few telemarketers, calls from various associations begging for donations, and a few of those computers that call you and ask you to ‘Hold for an important message’ and you’ll have a full day of just answering the phone. It’s like having a job again, without all the hassle of getting a paycheck.

5. Dragging yourself to wake up daily at 5:30 in the morning is not good for your health. Your physician will proud of you for caring enough about your body’s well-being to go as far as resigning from your job. He will not, however, see you as a patient anymore because you no longer have health insurance. We have free clinics though, and you don’t have to worry. Sitting all day in a damp clinic waiting room next to young teenagers diagnosed with Gonorrhea is yet another experience you would have missed out on if you keep working on your present job.

There you have it folks. 5 raesons why you should go out and leave your job. Have a free feeling to say these to your employer when you handle your resignation. Why do we celebrate birthdays? What is it that we are proud of? Is it because we survived another year? Are we marking the progress we have made, our overall achievements? Is that symbolizes a new hope sprung eternal to live another year?

None would matter maybe..

If we are remembering the past year, would we still drink to it if we know we are going to die soon? Not likely. But why? How is the future relevant (our own upcoming death) when it is the past that we are celebrating? We cannot change the past. No future event can vitiate the fact that we have made it through another 12 months of struggle. Then why not celebrate this fact?

Because what we focus on is not the past. Our birthdays are about the future, not about the past. We are celebrating having gone so far because such outlook in life allows us to move forward. We proclaim our potential to enjoy life. Birthdays are constructions of exuberant, blind faith in our own suspended mortality.

But if this holds true, surely as we grow older we have less and less cause to celebrate. What are the reasons do septuagenarians have to drink to one more year if that gift is not easily guaranteed? Life provides diminishing returns: the longer you invest, the less you take the marginal dividends of the fruits of your labor, like life insurance. Indeed, based on actuarial science, it becomes increasingly less rational to celeberate as we grow older.

Hence, we are forced into the conclusion that birthdays are about self-delusionally defying death. Preserving the illusion of immortality are what birthdays mean. Birthdays are forms of acting out our magical thinking. By celebrating our existence, we bestow on ourselves protective charms against the nonsense and whimsical nature of a impersonal, cruel, cold, and and most often a universe bombarded with hostility.
